The Fortier
30, A Proven Design by Eldredge-McInnis
The new Fortier 30 is an honest boat for fishing and cruising.
She is an outstanding fiberglass boat. Her design and construction makes the
Fortier 30 comfortable in any weather. The molded in keel and spray rails offer
exceptional stability and gives the boat a soft, dry entry into the water.
The construction of the Fortier 30 is unique to the industry in that experienced
craftsmen have laid layers of fiberglass over a Core-Cell® foam core. This
makes the boat ride very quiet, while insulating her against the contrasting
cold water temperatures and warm air temperature. The stringers run from bulkhead
to transom. The quality of materials and workmanship make the Fortier 30's the
stiffest hull in her class.
The new Fortier 30, like its little sister the Fortier 26, and its bigger brother
the Fortier 33, is a combination of both boats. The new Fortier 30 has a large
cockpit, approximately the same size as the Fortier 33.
Down below features a V-berth similar to the Fortier 26, but larger, a fully
enclosed head with shower, and full stand up galley. The cockpit is large enough
for fishing or day cruising. The accommodations down below are comfortable enough
for two people to go off for a week with no problem.
The engine room holds twin Volvo Diesels that produce a cruising speed of 23+
knots and top speed of approximately 29 knots. The engine room is accessible
by a large hatch that lifts hydraulically. For daily service, a small center
hatch is manually removable to make routine tasks a breeze to complete.
The new Fortier 30 can come with a soft top that can be folded forward of the
windshield. You can have a radar arch installed on the aft side of the soft
top to support the radar and electronics, or choose an aluminum frame with a
fiberglass hardtop for that little extra protection from the elements. Teak
is used throughout the boat for trim, including the windshield and rub rails.
The large open cockpit lends itself to customizing in order to satisfy any owner's
individual needs. To view a full-view layout of the Fortier 30, click here.
