Sad day in life

Sadest day in sailor's life, the day he sells his boat. Especially if it is a Frotier 26. I am about to deliver "Wildfire" to her new owner. She will join two other Fortiers, "Sabatical" and "Perfect Timing II" in St. Thomas, USVI.

I was in St. John in January and saw Wildfire. A beautiful specimen of a Fortier 26 and a beautiful island. Rod Fortier told me how all the 26's got to the islands, including one that made the trip from Somerset, MA all the way on its own bottom. Pretty amazing for a 26 footer. I hope the sale doesn't mean retirement from boating. Best of luck.
